According to the UN definition, sustainable development is “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. The concept of sustainability encompasses three important aspects to consider in decision-making and development issues. By interacting and supporting each other, the three components are expected to lead to sustainable development.
Three aspects of sustainability:
Sustainability for us means that we live as we teach: we work proactively for a good, safe and secure working environment. The staff and their knowledge are our most important strength and therefore we ensure that we take good care of our staff – including through wellness grants, ergonomic equipment, social activities – which is also reflected in our low staff turnover. This is also confirmed in our employee surveys, where we repeatedly have a high NMI (Satisfied Employee Index).
The company's financial sustainability and survival are secured through good profitability. We grow at a pace we can manage and make carefully considered investments for the future. For example, our company car fleet consists exclusively of electric cars! In our production, we use materials and machines that are currently the best choices for the environment, and we continuously evaluate new materials.
We do a lot for sustainability today, and continue to strive for more because sustainability is a constant ongoing work.
For a long time, we have been using recycled aluminium instead of virgin aluminium, which significantly cuts energy required for the material.
During 2025 we successfully launched recycled plastic signs, and later during the same year, we launched recycled pipe markings for indoor use.
